About this Event
The Giant Foamboard Aircraft (GFA) project at the University of Manchester explores the art of the possible in designing, building and flight testing innovative aircraft made by large teams of people out of a craft material called foamboard. In June 2022 we flew the World's largest aircraft made using foamboard as the primary structural material. The structure for this aircraft was built by 50 people in one day at a previous crowdbuilding event.
This December we will be doing the first build of a new aircraft design that will fly in June 2023. The build will take place over 2 days. You can sign up for one or both days. All welcome.
