G.I. Jokes @ SPRUNG! 2026 Comedy Festival

Our favorite stand up show thanks you for your service! Join this all-veteran lineup for G.I. Jokes presented by Improbable Comedy in partnership with Armed Services Arts Partnership. Show your appreciation for our veterans and the families that support them by coming out for some laughs.

SPRUNG! is Silver Spring's very own comedy festival. Over four nights in March 2026, Improbable Comedy will present 10 unique shows of hilarious comedy at the Silver Spring Black Box Theatre, along with comedy classes and events.

The Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP) isa national organization that provides free arts programs in comedy, storytelling, and music to veterans, service members, and their families to address social isolation and promote community reintegration.

About Improbable Comedy: Founded in 2012 by social-worker-turned-comedy-producer , Improbable Comedy has hosted hundreds of shows in local venues around the DMV. The goal has been to transform the industry by giving the mic to hilarious comedians who have been underrepresented on stage. Since our first show at Vicino's restaurant, we have brought big laughs to theatres, bars, swanky clubs, and people's homes. We now have regular shows at Busboys & Poets and the Arts Barn as well as partnerships with the Montgomery Parks Department and at the Silver Spring Black Box Theatre. Parking: The Black Box is a short walk from the Silver Spring metro and there is parking in the area garages on Ellsworth and Cameron St.

Accessibility: These shows will be ASL interpreted upon request. Please send any requests for ASL interpretation at least 10 days in advance to [email protected] and we will do our best to accommodate.The Black Box is ADA compliant with accessible bathrooms and devices for augmented hearing.

Concessions: The Silver Spring Black Box is theatre seating. We will sell light snacks and drinks in the lobby before the show.
