Join I Bike CC for a Halloween-themed bike ride! This is the perfect opportunity to get in the spirit while riding your bike on one of Corpus Christi’s scenic trails. We’ll meet at Bill Witt Park on Sunday, October 26, 9:00 AM and complete a 3-mile trip to Oso Creek and back.
Instructions:
Meet and park at Bill Witt Park at 7602 Wolverine Drive.
Ride route: Ride 0.5 mile south from Bill Witt Park to Bison Drive. Continue another 0.5 mile south to LaSalle Drive. Continue another 0.5 mile south to Oso Creek Parkway. Turn around and ride back to Bill Witt Park.
Riding tips:
COSTUME: Wear a bike-friendly costume on the ride. Secure any costume pieces so they won’t get caught in the bike’s chain or spokes. Wear reflective elements on your costume or reflective clothing with LEDs or spoke reflectors to increase visibility.
LIGHTS: Make sure your bike has a powerful front light to see the trail and a bright rear light to be seen by others.
HELMET: Bring a helmet with you to the ride.
DRESS APPROPRIATELY: The weather may change, so dress in layers or bring a sweatshirt with you along the ride.
Total distance = 3 miles round trip.
