This is the final stretch of Ghosts on the Grand. The full hunt runs October 2 to 31. First event: https://www.facebook.com/events/2362082524552108/
Something spooky is hiding in downtown Grand Rapids this October, and your family gets to find it.
Ghosts on the Grand is a month-long, citywide Halloween scavenger hunt running October 2-31, 2026, presented by City Games. An original cast of fictional ghosts has settled into the city's real history, and players of all ages follow clues to track them down. It is playfully spooky, never frightening, part scavenger hunt, part local history, part Halloween adventure, and completely family-friendly.
Meet the ghosts: Heritage Hillary, Trolley Molly, Disco Dot, Arcade Eddie, and more hiding across the city, waiting to be uncovered.
How it works: Follow clues on your phone to historic locations around Grand Rapids, spot hidden details in plain sight, solve puzzles, answer local trivia, snap photos, and step inside participating local businesses, including Oh Hello & Co., Rewind GR, Sugar Bar, The 12th House, Speak EZ Lounge, and Chicago Beef Joint. Each completed challenge reveals another piece of a ghost's story and adds that character to your collection.
There is no start time and no group to keep up with. Play anytime, at your own pace, all month long.
Free to play. More info: https://citygames.co
