Join us for our Ghost Hunt Series, happening Fridays in Octobers!
What is it?
We're combining our Dark History Tours with our Ghost Hunting Tours as we use professional ghost hunting equipment to tell you the eerie history of each location on our tour.
Where will we go?
We'll meet on the corner of Court St NE & High St NE by Encore Restaurant. Together, we'll circle about 0.6 miles around a few blocks of downtown Salem. We'll cover everything from the purple glass on the sidewalks to the ghosts that lurk in The Reed Opera House, to the secrets of the underground tunnels, to the mysterious skull that was found inside The Gray Building.
Note: Tunnels have been filled in so, while we will NOT be able to go underground, we will still discuss their history.
Where does your information come from?
Our tours, crafted by our owner Chelsea Serpas, are the result of thorough research on Tim King, John Ritter, and countless newspaper articles and stories from the 1800s to the mid-1900s. She has woven these with local folklore to offer an in-depth exploration of Salem's darker aspects.
How long with this last?
Tours will run from 7:00-8:30pm to give us plenty of time to talk about the history and then see how the ghosts respond to us.
Is this tour suitable for children?
We will be covering subjects like murder, prostitution, opium dens, deep racism and more. We suggest a minimum age of 13 but it is ultimately up to the parents' discretion.
What Ghost Hunting Equipment will we use?
We will have EMF readers, a Spirit Chat (similar to an Ovilus), a Spirit Box, Estes Method, Dowsing Rods, a Pendulum, a Bell and Music Box Motion Sensor and more. We may not use all tools depending on what the situation calls for and what the spirits are responding to the most strongly.
