About this Event
In this Ghost Hunting 101 class, you will learn a beginner's guide to paranormal investigation covering research methods, equipment usage, and ethics. Topics include identifying false positives (debunking), Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP), and tech on a budget. A variety of ghost hunting equipment will be demonstrated as well. After the class, we will apply what we learned and do some ghost hunting. The J. Solf, Brooklyn's building (1896) is one of the remaining buildings that stand along the former Golden Road (The road to Golden). The neighborhood was named Brooklyn, after Brooklyn N.Y., because of the Jewish immigrants settling in the neighborhood. It has been a saloon, brothel, creamery, boarding rooms, and meat business before becoming a pub in1983. The pub served patrons of McNichols Arena and Mile High Stadium. Staff report paranormal activity in the upstairs area left over from the brothel days and said their unnamed resident ghost is of a friendly nature.
Things to know:
The investigation will be held upstairs in an event area of a historic pub, so anyone under 21 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
The location is near Empower Field, so make sure you leave time to find parking.
Participants may have a drink but cannot be intoxicated during class.
They also serve awesome pub fare so feel free to plan on having lunch.
Feel free to bring any ghosting hunting equipment you have but no outside food or drink please.
Tickets are non-refundable but can be transfered to someone else.
Class size is limited to 30 people.
