WHEN: Tuesday, August 9th - Sunday August 14th

WHO IS THE TRIP FOR: Public Stakeholders, Investors, Entrepreneurs, and others based in NY, NJ, and CT - passionate about engaging Ghana’s innovation ecosystem. We will host up to 25 participants.

WHAT: 5 full days of exclusive meetings, special visits, cultural exchange, spectacular food, and cultural highlights

ACCOMMODATION: The beautiful Villa Boutique Hotel, nestled in Osu neighborhood, in walking distance to Accra’s most vibrant food and nightlife scene.

COST: The cost of the tour is $3,300 per participant, which is inclusive of hotel, food, and transportation throughout the trip. Ticket does not include flight and participants must arrive by 4pm at the hotel on Tuesday August 9th.

• Visit to Mayor’s office Chief Resilience Officer, and town planning representatives
• Meet the Coastal Development Authority and learn how the city of Accra is planning to prepare for rising waters and other impacts of Climate Change.
• Fireside chats with Ghana’s leading entrepreneurs and African American entrepreneurs who shifted to Ghana to build trans-Atlantic businesses
• Engage the African Health Innovation Center for a deep dive in Ghana’s health innovation landscape and engage scaling health startups
• Session on Investing in Ghana's companies through Ghana Investment and Promotion Centre
• Meet leading startups ex: Jetstream, Complete Pharma, Kudu, Kudi Go, and Oze
• Visit DTI Design & Technology Institute, Nubuke Foundation, Ashesi University, Stanford SEED, Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST)
• Creative studio and media visits in the fields of fashion, sustainable design,storytelling & mixed media, music, food, and the urban experience!
• We’ll take you outside the city, for a day of relaxing and hiking where the scenery is stunning and the air is pristine.
• We’ll take you to the coolest bars and clubs in Ghana for drinks, dancing, and to hear the latest vibes coming out of Ghana’s burgeoning music industry.

Impact Hub New York Metropolitan Area works with 80+ partners in NY, NJ, and CT to support the social innovation community, and has a focus to connect and accelerate collaboration between local and global entrepreneurial communities.
