GGs Pickleball Showdown

Welcome to the GGs Pickleball Showdown! Join us at the Pickleball Club at Tysons for an evening filled with fun and friendly competition.

You may register for either the 3.5-4.0 (intermediate players) mixed doubles tournament or the 3.5-4.0 open tournament. Please only register for one of these events. You will not be allowed to register for more than one. Each tournament draw will include 16 teams. If registration spots are full, you will be able to sign up for a waitlist.

Please try to have the average level of you and your partner be within the 3.5-4.0 range!

Open tournament, means that teams can be composed of any gender combination!

There will be a consolation bracket in the tournament. If you lose at any point before reaching the finals, you will be moved to the consolation bracket. This bracket will continue until we determine a third-place winner, or until we run out of time. Note that if you lose twice, you will be eliminated from the tournament.

If you have a preferred partner you'd like to team up with, you'll have the opportunity to enter their name during the registration process. Please note that both you and your partner need to register separately for the event. It's important that both of you list each other's names on your respective registration forms to be officially paired together. If you do not specify a partner's name, or if only one of you lists the other, we will assign you a random teammate.

Both main draw winners will receive a trophy!

In the event we are running out of time, we may decide to reduce the length of the games.

Check in will start at 4:30pm, so please arrive on time!

Rules

• We will follow the official USA pickleball rules, please review them here
• Main draw games are up to 15, win by 2
• Consolation games are also up to 15 win by 2
• Finals will be best 2 out of 3 sets to 11
• Players will be required to make their own out calls
• Please call the score out before every point
• Play fair and have fun!
