Warhammer 40,000 11th Edition is here, and we’re celebrating by starting our Warhammer 40k Slow-Grow League here at Good Games Canberra City!
This event is the perfect way to start your 40K journey, get back into the game or continue your love for wargames! Come and join in on our first ever Slow Grow League!
It’s a great way to play the game you love and engage in a friendly, fun and rapidly growing community. Perfect for new or returning players!

Participants will be placed in pods and randomly assigned 3 opponents they must play over a 6 week period. Based on performance in these pods, a relegation system is implemented where top placed players move up and bottom placed players move down for the next phase.
As an added bonus for signing up, players can claim 25% off RRP on a 40K Combat Patrol! Whether it’s expanding a new force, or readying your army for the next stage, a Combat Patrol can be your next step to a full fledged army!
We will be holding event start 26th July at 11:00am, attendance isn't required but will include a break-in of event structure and questions!

List Submission Cutoff: 25/07/26 (via Best Coast Pairings)
Prizing: (based on participation)
Per Pod; 1st/2nd Place: Store Credit based on total player count Best painted: Players may submit a model from their army to be judged for Best Painted, and win store credit prizing per pod!
Games must be played using the Chapter Approved 26-27 Mission Pack for use of Secondary Missions and recorded with Tabletop Battles or the Warhammer 40k app (free apps). Each of the player's 3 games have predetermined Terrain Layouts to guarantee consistency for the event.
A screenshot of the result must be submitted to the organiser along with a photo of the game in progress, as well as reported via Best Coast Pairings.
Games do not have to be played at Good Games, or on the event day, but both players must report the results.
Information regarding deployments, mission rules and primary missions can be found on the Tabletop Battles/WH40k App or online. Please play all your games out to the natural end, concessions will result in less points accrued for players.
When scoring, DO NOT score the 10VP for battle ready. This event can be played with unpainted miniatures with no penalty.
For Incursion phases of the Slow Grow League (750 to 1000pts), you are allowed to use 3DP Detachments, however, you are not allowed to use the combination of 2DP + 1DP etc. We will also be using the rule that Battleline units can Advance + Action and Action + Shoot.
Army lists must be submitted to Best Coast Pairings. Players must use the same army list for the duration of the event, but if participating in the next event phase, players can submit a completely different army list.
Opponents Lists will not be visible until the event has started.
For terrain set up, use what you have available, but make sure both players are okay with the layout. Try to keep it as symmetrical as possible, referring to tournament layouts described in the mission templates or a Google search where possible.
