GFI Academy Gala 2026

GFI Academy will host its first annual gala on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Georgia James in Houston. The evening will bring together community leaders, supporters, and families to celebrate the academy’s mission while raising support for youth soccer development and scholarship opportunities. 

The event will begin with a cocktail reception, silent auction, and tequila pull featuring unique experiences, exclusive items, and opportunities to support GFI Academy’s programs. Guests will then enjoy a seated three-course dinner accompanied by remarks from academy leadership and keynote speaker Chris Canetti, President of the FIFA World Cup 26 Houston Host Committee, who will share insights on the growing excitement surrounding soccer in Houston as the city prepares to host matches for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Proceeds from the evening will support GFI Academy’s continued efforts to expand access to competitive soccer programming, mentorship, and educational opportunities for young athletes across the Houston community.
