Geylang Red-Light District Walking Tour

This is a hardcore look at the sex industry and sex tourism. We’ll do a highly in-depth study on how these sex workers are handling the current pandemic era. With borders now re-opening, will Geylang once again reclaim its colorful past, or will it simply fade away? While some have indeed quit the profession, some are thriving.

We’ll take a look at how they work their way into the heart and bank account of their customers. We’ll discuss their skill and see how some men get addicted to their schemes even when they know it is a trap. We’ll try and define the modus operandi of KTVs, massage shops, clubs and the high-class society where a weekend jaunt can really rake in the dollars.

We’ll walk the streets all the way from Lorong 12 to Lorong 20. This is a memory walk down a sleazy lane – facing its last few days as a red-light district, or is it? It is also an informative (maybe even educational) walk for our young audience on a subject that parents find hard to discuss with their adult children.

I must warn you this is a highly adult walking tour and may not be suitable for everybody. You must come with an open mind. Some terms used may be explicit and graphic. Meet me at Aljunied MRT (next to Mos Burger), 7pm on the 28th July 2022 (THURSDAY).
