Esther Raizy Akerman, PA-C, is a plastic surgery PA at ERA Plastic Surgery in Lakewood, NJ. Esther Raizy Akerman has been a PA for 16 years with over 12 years of practice in plastic surgery. She has a passion for repairing fingertip amputations.

Adena Homnick, PA-C, PhD is the cofounder and past president of JAPA, and currently serves as the VP. She practices in Lakewood, NJ after working first in general surgery and then spending over 15 years as Chief Trauma Physician Assistant at the UMDNJ Trauma Center in Newark, NJ, earning the University Hospital service excellence award in 2004. Adena has published extensively and presented her research at national medical conferences.

Jared Pisapia, MD, MSTR, is an attending pediatric neurosurgeon, surgical director of pediatric neuro-oncology program, surgical co-director of craniofacial program at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Pisapia has a broad interest in all areas of pediatric neurosurgery with a particular focus on pediatric tumors of the brain and spine, hydrocephalus, Chiari malformations, and congenital and traumatic spine disorders. He also treats pediatric and adult patients with peripheral nerve injuries and disorders, including neonatal brachial plexus injury, and peripheral nerve lesions, such as nerve sheath tumors.

Micah Katz, PA-C, is a PA at Caresteir Health, ORD physiatry, associate professor at Marist College, medical liaison to Kanfei Chaim, and disaster medical provider NDMS.
