Getting to Green

“Getting to Green: Routes to Roots” is a multi disciplinary public art project, encouraging residents to use public transit to access green spaces in Philadelphia. Unique artwork including a bus wrap, posters in bus shelters and print materials will feature hand drawn maps to orient riders and encourage their exploration of new pathways. Short video profiles will feature stories of riders, drivers and routes. A public launch and unveiling of the “Route 7 bus wrap” kicks off June 10 followed by bus tours and curated events throughout the summer and fall that showcase and raise awareness of transit itineraries to activities at parks and green spaces, large and small, throughout the city━including nature walks, picnicking sites, bike paths and special events accessible from Fairmount Park.
