Getting Ready for Opportunities and Work (free course for parents)

In this course, you will learn how to search for jobs, write job applications and cover letters, improve interview skills, and learn about work culture in Scotland and UK employment rights.

Subsidies including childcare and transport can be provided.

This six-week course takes place weekly for 2 hours, IN-PERSON

The capacity of the course is 20 people per session.

The venue is Richmond Craigmillar Church - 227 Niddrie Mains Rd, Edinburgh EH16 4PA

• Week 1: Finding work in Scotland (Tuesday 10th December)

• Week 2: Writing CVs (Tuesday 17th December)
• BREAK FOR FESTIVE HOLIDAYS
• Week 3: Interviews (Tuesday 7th January 2025)
• Week 4: Scottish work culture (Tuesday 14th January 2025)
• Week 5: Rights & Responsibilities in the Workplace (Tuesday 21st January 2025)
• Week 6: Practice interviews / Q&A session (Tuesday 28th January 2025)
