Inspired by iconic television and dialogue-driven screwball romances, “Getting Along” is a fresh remix of classic tropes exploring everything from codependency and fluid sexuality to kinky sex collars and the inner workings of Sbarro's Pizza. Follow Gale, a flighty thirty-something new to the big city, as she tries to build a life of her own after things abruptly end with her fiancé Greg. Featuring a carousel of special guest stars and live musical accompaniment, “Getting Along” is must-see TV, performed live on stage. Stephanie Thoreson is a writer, comedian, and actor who cut her teeth in the creative scene of Austin, TX for over a decade before moving to Los Angeles. She is one half of Baby Lion Studios, the independent production team behind the ensemble sitcom Wind-Ups, for which she served as head writer. She plays the lead in the feature Good Feels on Wheels, which received multiple awards during its festival run, including three “Best Actress” wins for Stephanie’s portrayal of Opal. You can also catch her debut as a scream queen in the horror anthology Scare Package, streaming on Shudder. “Getting Along” is Stephanie’s third solo show, following her critically acclaimed character showcase “Fishbowl” and debut one-woman show “Shattered Dreams and Other Positive Experiences”.
