If you want to plant, W**d, craft a concrete and mosaic birdbath, and connect with other community garden members through storytelling and shared experiences, join us at the next meet-up. We will co-create a gorgeous garden together and get to know one another too.Gates open at 17:30 on Thursday, 4 July 2024.
At this meet-up we will be:
Gardening - Maybe get your hands a little dirty planting the last bed with some of the seedlings that are popping up in our seeds section, watering the garden or checking on any possible weeds and using our natural bug repellant to stave off the bugs who like to munch on the leaves.
Making - We'll also be making the bowl and support for the bird bath at this session and cutting pieces of ceramic for use in the mosaic design that we’ll use in the following session.
Relaxing, listening and watching - We'll learn about one of our community member's trek from Romania to Lithuania by bike.

We need some more colour amongst the green, the dahlias are growing but we have some time before they flower so if you feel inspired bring a low-cost annual plant with you for our side bed which currently has a few seeds sprouting and lovely calendula flowers.
If you would like bug repellent - we have the concentrate if you want some bring an empty spray bottle or small bottle to take some concentrate home with you.
Bring a snack or drink to share.
You might get dirty so dress accordingly.

You will have the opportunity to use all your senses throughout the gardening season – smelling and touching the dirt, watching the plants grow, hearing the birds and bees singing nature’s song, and then as the rich colourful fruits and veg come to fruition, finally taste the produce. You will also get to share in conversation when you feel compelled to or to stay quiet and get present and grounded as you connect with the plants.
We will be meeting every month from now until November to plant, grow and co-create the space. We may have some morning and late afternoon meet-ups in the upcoming months. Our next meet-up following this one is planned for Tuesday, 16 July @ 17:30 until 20:00 and Thursday, 25 July at the same times.
Join in for a few hours one day every other week or once a month.
We will be sharing the dates and times as events here on Facebook and Instagram.
In case of mild rain, there is shelter. There is a solarium where we can convene and plan. If it is storming fiercely we may postpone until the following week. We have a WhatsApp group you can join for announcements
