Aspiring super sleuths can take part in a criminal justice summer youth program for students, ages 11-14, hosted by Carl Sandburg College's Corporate & Leisure College. Led by Sandburg instructor and coordinator of criminal justice programs, Chris Barber, Get a Clue takes place July 27 & 28 at Carl Sandburg College, 2400 Tom L. Wilson Blvd., on the Main Campus in Galesburg. The camp will run 9 a.m.-11 a.m. both dates. The registration deadline is July 13.
Participants will learn the process of evidence collection, fingerprinting, casting and investigative techniques used in criminal justice investigations through hands-on activities.
Early camp registration cost is $30 and includes a T-shirt. Students may continue to register for $30 after the deadline; however, a T-shirt may not be provided.
