Save the date! This year’s Gessner-Schocken concert features Brian Major, baritone, accompanied by Longy faculty member Noriko Asuda. The program centers on Mortal Storm, a song cycle by Robert Owens with text by Langston Hughes.
The Gessner-Schocken Concert Series at Longy is hosted by the Gessner family and honors the legacy and foresight of Ruth Gessner-Schocken, musician, educator, and philanthropist. A longtime supporter and faculty member at Longy, Ruth established this series through a legacy gift to the School, making an exceptional contribution that will ensure this concert series continues throughout the decades.
