LIVE MUSIC HEALS.
Come join us at Trees Organic Coffee & Roasting House at 450 Granville St. for the original artist showcase that runs from 8 to 10 pm. Solo performers & groups, mostly local but often touring from all over the world.
Friday July 3rd will feature Gerry Parsons, Alana Louise and new B.C. resident Jeremy Facknitz.
Turning 70 this year, Gerry Parsons has been writing songs since 2010. Trained early in classical piano and self-taught on guitar and harmonica, Gerry has performed with jazz, classical and sacred choirs and musical theatre troupes in Vancouver and Edmonton. He's well traveled, having toured with a cappella groups to the US, Mexico, and Japan. Since 2007, he has been leading worship music and directing the choir at Trinity Lutheran Church in Delta.

Jeremy Facknitz's music is a throwback to when singer-songwriters weren't afraid to turn it up loud, look you in the eye and play more than the same tired four chords. He embodies the soul of an old-time troubadour, but bitten by a radioactive rockstar and smitten with jazz and musical theatre. He's a 3-time finalist in the prestigious Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Competition at Kerrville Folk Festival and 2023 Empower (Posi) Music Award winner. John Apice of American Highways says "This is all far above the ordinary... A good time is guaranteed for all" while John Barlass at At the Barrier writes "Jeremy Facknitz is, indeed, a major talent – and, I can guarantee, like nothing you’ll have ever heard before."
There are no advance tickets for this show, and admission is FREE! There will be a pass-the-hat donation requested, which the artists will split 3 ways.
