Two lads. No money. One mission: get season tickets for the Premier League. How hard can it be?
Based on Jonathan Tulloch’s novel The Season Ticket, which became the cult film Purely Belter, Olivier Award-winner Jamie Eastlake’s new adaptation storms into the West End for a limited run after sell-out performances across the North East.
Gerry and Sewell live in Gateshead. They’ve got nothing — except a dream. A season ticket to their beloved football club. But after years of austerity and watching their team sold off by a southern businessman more interested in merchandise than matches, life’s tough. Until they decide they’re getting those season tickets, whatever it takes. And once they’ve got their mission, nothing’s going to stop them — except maybe a few dodgy dealers, the social, and the odd run-in with the local scrap man.
Starring original cast members Dean Logan, Jack Robertson and Becky Clayburn as Gerry, Sewell and Tyneside, alongside Erin Mullen as Bridget.
Gerry & Sewell blends live music, puppet dogs and the magic of Wor Flags (plus the odd surprise cameo) into a wild, funny and heartfelt tribute to black-and-white dreams.
For the Toon. And for anyone who’s ever chased something that matters.

📍 Venue Description: Opening alongside the Novello Theatre in 1905, the Aldwych Theatre is a Grade II listed Edwardian building located in the heart of central London. The theatre has been home to countless premieres in its 120 year history, most notably **Tennessee Williams**' _A Streetcar Named Desire._ Directed by **Laurence Olivier**, and starring his wife, **Vivien Leigh**, the production was a family affair. Leigh went on to win an Oscar for her role in the 1951 film adaptation of Williams' play, proving (if needed) that there was more to her performance than her partnership with the director. The most recent world premiere, _Tina the Tina Turner Musica_l, opened in 2018, and has since been seen by more than 56 million people world wide.
The venue is celebrated for its excellent acoustics, rich theatrical history, and welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect destination for anyone looking to enjoy top-tier performances in the heart of London.
