After a highly successful launch, the next instalment in the Germany in Text and Context reading series features German author Olivia Wenzel and her award-winning book 1000 Coils of Fear. Wenzel will read from her powerful novel (in English translation, with short German excerpts for the curious), accompanied by a panel discussion and followed by an audience Q&A. The book explores themes of race, family, belonging, and the weight of history in contemporary Germany.
No prior knowledge of German language or cultures needed!
There will also be an opportunity to purchase the novel at a reduced price after the event and have it signed by the author directly.
