Featured Artists
Chelsey Luster - Chelsey Luster’s work focuses on intimacy, safety, and vulnerability through depictions of invented and physical domestic spaces. In Finding Home, Luster shares their perspective on the importance of protecting internal and external safe havens and sanctuaries.
Anthony Johnson - Anthony Johnson's neo expressionism paintings reflect life experiences, evolution and street art with a story. Most of Johnson's paintings and murals have a mixed media of oil, acrylic and spray paint. His art is varnished or coated with a layer of resin to highlight layers and textures.
CJ - CJ's creativity ticks when they are in a space of freedom to think, feel or just plainly express. CJ releases childhood traumas and furthers their personal healing journey through expressive art. They found their artistic voice through doodling and expressive art, allowing them to communicate what they truly think and feel.
Daphne Smallwood - As an Art Teacher, Daphne's art practice has revolved around educating a future generation of artists. Inspired by artists like Faith Ringgold and Basquiat, this figurative painter and collage artist enjoys the application of a medium to paper or canvas. Cutting and ripping materials, as well as making fast marks, have always given Smallwood a sense of completion. Like Beverly McIver, Smallwood utilizes herself in her works.
