German Immigrant Day at Bruentrup Farm

Come and join us at the Bruentrup Farm this Sunday, August 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for German Immigrant Day! We will be demonstrating sauerkraut-making and Herr Hoisington will be demonstrating Turner (Turnverein) Exercises of the 1840s & 50s, using wooden wands and dumbells. Visitors to the site will be encouraged to participate and taught the basic movements. There will also be popular German brass music of the 1850s and 60s during the event. Come and join the fun!
