Step into the sights, sounds, and flavors of a traditional German Christmas at the German-Texan Heritage Society's German Christmas Market—the most authentic German Christmas Market in Texas.
For one magical day, the historic 1857 German Free School and its beautiful terraced gardens are transformed into a festive European Christmas village, bringing centuries-old German holiday traditions to the heart of Austin.
Whether you're searching for unique gifts, sipping warm Glühwein, or creating lasting family memories, you'll experience the charm of a true German Christmas Market without leaving Texas.

We traveled to Germany so you wouldn't have to.
Our team personally brought back magical Christmas treasures from Germany, filling the market with authentic ornaments, handcrafted decorations, wooden toys, nutcrackers, Christmas pyramids, smokers, and unique gifts that capture the spirit of a traditional German Christmas. Many are imported directly from the famed Erzgebirge, where Christmas craftsmanship has been passed down for generations.
