About this Event
Resolution Project’s annual Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine Young Leaders Now Award Dinner is returning to the Prince George Ballroom in New York City on October 23! Every year at the YLN Award Dinner, we honor outstanding changemakers who understand the value and importance of letting young people lead. This dinner is a huge opportunity to support our work and gather with leaders in the public, private, and social sectors as well as connect with Resolution Fellows from around the world. Past awardees include Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine, Founder of World Model UN; Shiza Shahid, Co-Founder & Former CEO of the Malala Fund; Reeta Roy, President and CEO of Mastercard Foundation; and Zainab Salbi, Founder of Women for Women International.
About Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine
The event’s namesake, Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine, is a global leader in philanthropy and business, whose impact crosses sectors, geographies, and subjects seamlessly. She is the Founder and President of the Sunshine Care Foundation, an organization based in Asia and primarily dedicated to promoting youth education, humanitarian relief, and scientific research in neurodegenerative diseases. While an undergraduate at Harvard College, she founded the Harvard World Model United Nations Conference in 1992, creating one of the longest-lasting international youth education and empowerment events in the world. WorldMUN was Resolution’s original Social Venture Challenge Host Conference. We are deeply honored to have Geraldine as one of the original members of Resolution’s Board of Directors and to have recognized her as the 2016 Young Leaders Now Award recipient.
