George Morales' story is one of lifelong roots, steadfast service, and unwavering commitment to the East Austin community he still calls home. As a Constable since 2017, he has earned a reputation as "The People's Constable," delivering public safety with heart, innovation, and a deep connection to his community. Now, he stands ready to bring that same energy to the Commissioners Court.
With over 26 years in law enforcement, Constable Morales is a highly decorated Master Peace Officer who has earned statewide recognition for his leadership, including multiple Presidential Community Service Awards, the TCOLE Achievement Award for Public Service, prestigious national service honors, and even having a local recreation center named after him.
Among his most impactful initiatives was leading a Travis County mobile vaccine collaborative that administered more than 430,000 COVID-19 shots across the Eastern Crescent, demonstrating his ability to mobilize resources for public health in times of crisis.
George has been a community force in East Austin—upgrading the Dove Springs Recreation Center, serving as president of the Dove Springs Advisory Board, distributing thousands of backpacks each year, hosting Thanksgiving dinners that serve thousands of families, expanding broadband access, and even advocating for a new Southeast Health and Wellness clinic that opened in 2024.
