The University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute is offering weekly free public tours during the summer, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Bring your friends and family to learn about the institute, its giant satellite antennas and how world-class researchers study everything from the center of the Earth to the center of the sun!
The tour takes about 1.5 hours and is offered weekly every Wednesday through August 28. The guided group meets at 1 p.m. in the entrance lobby of the Elvey Building on UAF’s West Ridge. No registration required.
Stops include Alaska Satellite Facility, the Alaska Earthquake Center, the Wilson Alaska Technical Center, and the Alaska Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration.
For large groups or to request an accommodation, please contact the GI Public Information Office at 907-474-5229 or [email protected] prior to attending. Visit www.gi.alaska.edu/about/visitor-information to learn more.
