Geometric Wood Marquetery (1/2)

This workshop explores the intricate art of wood marquetry: the delicate craft of inlaying natural materials to form harmonious patterns and motifs.

You will discover how wood inlay has long served as a language of beauty and devotion in sacred spaces, from the geometric panels of Islamic architecture to the ornate wooden interiors of churches and synagogues.

Through hands-on creation and reflection, the session invites participants to experience marquetry as a spiritual dialogue in wood, celebrating unity, craftsmanship, and the timeless search for divine order through art.
This workhop comes as the fourth workshop in a series of workshops funded by the Senate für Kultur und Gesellschaft Zusammenarbeit and the Interkulturelles Zentrum in Neu Koln.

It will take place in two days:
28/10 from 6 to 9 pm

and

29/10 from 6 to 9 pm.
Please make sure you will be able to attend both days as your end product depends on it.
