About this Event
In addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and removing CO2 from the atmosphere, sunlight reflection may be necessary to avoid the worst impacts of global warming. The topic of geoengineering is rife with misinformation and conspiracy theories, yet research to understand whether — and how — sunlight reflection could be deployed safely and effectively is critical for good policy making.
Join us for a focused conversation about what we know, what we don’t know, and the current research to understand sunlight reflection methods.
Speakers -
Morgan Goodwin, Executive Director of the Planetary Sunshade Foundation and former director of the Sierra Club’s Angeles Chapter
Dakota Gruener, Executive Director of Reflective and resident at Astera Institute
