To make this event safe and enjoyable for all attendees, please read the below guidelines ahead of purchasing a ticket so you know what to expect on the day. To avoid disappointment, we must emphasize that non-ticket holders will not be granted access to the event space.

FOR IN-STORE TICKETS:

• Candid photos will be allowed as books are being signed and will be taken by a Barnes & Noble bookseller on the guest's camera or phone.

• The author will sign and personalize (name only) your copy of the title included with this ticket.

• Any gifts for the authors will be collected prior to the signing line.
• Addtional copies of Spooky Lakes will be available for purchase at Barnes & Noble - Stonebriar Mall in Frisco, TX

• Due to health and safety and space limitations, those without a ticket will not be permitted into the event space.

• We will provide numerous updates leading up to the day of the event. These updates will be sent through Eventbrite to the email address you supplied at the time of ticket purchase, so please be sure to check for any new information.

• No memorabilia will be signed at the event.
• Please arrive on time according to your ticket in order to secure your seat in the event space. Late arrivals may only have access to standing room and may not have the opportunity to enter the event space.

Geo Rutherford is an artist and teacher who has spent her entire professional career working in art education. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and the visual arts director at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. While Geo's interest in lakes began as a part of her artistic practice, she soon found a captive audience after sharing the information she was learning on TikTok. Her videos explaining the science behind strange ice formations or drifting islands piqued the interest of viewers worldwide, but her channel found its stride when she began posting videos about spooky lakes every October. Today she receives constant messages from teachers and parents thanking her for creating educational content that encourages kids to engage with science.
