Set against the beautiful backdrop of Mount Maunganui, this race has a distance for everyone from Standard, Sprint, Short & a Splash’n’Dash for the kids.
There is no better place to compete in a Triathlon than Mount Maunganui. Great swim in Pilot Bay, fast flat bike down Marine Parade & Oceanbeach Road. Then finish the Triathlon with a run around the Mount Base-track.
Whether you are a beginner, Youth or Elite, the Tinman Triathlon caters for you!

Distances/Events
Kids Splash n Dash (Ages 6 – 11 yrs inclusive): 100m swim + 1K run
Have a Go (Short Course) (Ages 11+): 300m + 13K + 3K
Sprint (Ages 16+): 750m + 20K + 5K
Para-Tri: 750m + 20K + 5K
Standard Distance and National Championships Race (Ages 18+): 1500m + 40K + 10K
