Gent Treadly ft. STANLEY JORDAN & Friends Valentine's Day

Celebrate Love this Valentine’s Day with Gent Treadly featuring Jazz-Rock icon Stanley Jordan and friends at the stunning Berkeley Chapel of the Flowers.
In a career that took flight in 1985 with commercial and critical acclaim, 4-time Grammy nominated guitar virtuoso Stanley Jordan has consistently displayed a chameleonic musical persona of openness, imagination, versatility and maverick daring. Instead of picking and strumming, he taps the strings against the fretboard with both hands, which lets him play a melody and an accompaniment at the same time, the way a pianist would. His music transcends genre, and his approach breathes fresh life into familiar material. His unconventional jazz approach made him a favorite of Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh; he performed with Phil & Friends over a 12-year span including at Phil's final public appearance in 2024. For this special Bay Area homecoming, Stanley and Friends will perform interpretations of Grateful Dead and Jimi Hendrix material, as well as original jazz-rock jams.
Stanley will be joined for this show by beloved Bay Area keyboardist Scott Guberman (Phil & Friends), East-Coast legend Greg Koerner (Gent Treadly, formerly w/ Vince Welnick, Dark Star Orchestra) on bass and a very special surprise drummer TBA.
The Chapel of the Flowers is a new and stunning all ages venue in a 102-year old storybook Chapel just across from Ashby BART. The vaulted ceiling creates incredible acoustics, with a wooden dance floor, limited seating, and a bohemian vibe. Bring a date, a friend, or your family. Plenty of parking adjacent, with drinks and snacks available. CBCB Dispensary will host a Setbreak Social Hour for those over 21 who wish to partake.
Doors open at 6 pm, showtime 7 pm.
Seating is limited. Reserved seats and GA advance discount tickets are available now at MRHATPRESENTS.com. Advance tickets cost less than tickets at the door, and reserved seats will go first, so get yours early.
