Genesis House Garden Installation

Join us November 15 to lay the foundation of a garden at Genesis House in Vallejo!

This workshop will prepare the ground for planting a permaculture food forest garden. The future garden will give residents the opportunity to learn sustainable gardening techniques, including how to grow food, use efficient irrigation, and create a healing habitat for both people and pollinators.

The focus of this day will be sheet mulching to protect and build healthy soil.

Volunteer tasks: moving and spreading cardboard and wood chips.

* wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves, snacks and a refillable water bottle

*this event is designed for ages 12 & up

Genesis House Inc is a non profit that offers recovery support services dedicated to helping people get back on their feet and continue their recovery.
