Generously Reformed Panel Discussion

Co-authors J. Todd Billings, Suzanne McDonald, and Alberto La Rosa Rojas will be gathering at Baker Book House to discuss their book Generously Reformed: Theology Rooted Deep and Reaching Wide. The conversation will be moderated by Keith Starkenburg, academic dean at Western Theological Seminary, and will include audience Q&A.

About the Book: Generously Reformed offers a fresh, centrist vision of the Reformed tradition—moving beyond slogans and caricatures to reveal a theology that is historical grounded, globally engaged, and full of hope. Drawing on voiced from across the tradition and the global church, it calls readers to inhabit Reformed theology as a living, generous experession of the historic Christian faith. Rather than offering defensive debates, the book invites readers into a theological journey this is Christ-center, Scripture-rooted, and alive with hope.

About the Authors:

J. Todd Billings is the Gordon H. Girod Research Professor of Reformed Theology at Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan, and an ordained minister in the Reformed Church in America. He is the award-winning author of numerous books, including Rejoicing in Lament, Union with Christ, and Calvin, Participation, and the Gift.

Suzanne McDonald is professor of systematic and historical theology at Western Theological Seminary. She is the author of two books and numerous essays and articles, particularly on the theology of John Owen.

Alberto La Rosa Rojas is director of the Hispanic Ministry Program and assistant professor of theology and ethics at Western Theological Seminary. He is the author of a number of essays and articles, including "A Migrant at the Lord's Table: A Reformed Theology of Home," which appears in Reformed Public Theology: A Global Vision for the Life of the World.
