Generation Women blends a lively literary salon with the tradition of handing down wisdom from community elders. Our diverse line-ups will make you laugh, cry, and reflect on the cycle of life. Alongside cis women, we cast all gender expressions including non-binary folk and trans women.

Our theme: MY ALTER EGO

We often have many identities through our lives: friend, colleague, boss, child, caregiver, ex- and so on. We also face societal pressure to behave in different ways in different situations. Our storytellers will explore one of the many facets of themselves that perhaps no one sees. Maybe it's the ‘you’ your kickboxing or meditation class sees. Maybe it’s the ‘you’ you’ve said farewell to or maybe it’s the ‘you’ you’ve never dared to give a voice to… until now. As we near Halloween, a weekend that explores shadow selves, we ask you to think on your unique alter ego.
