Presented by Lisa Hickey, Sustainable Ag & Food Systems Agent
The workshop will prepare individuals who will be applying restricted-use pesticides to commercial or agricultural operations in order to acquire respective pesticide licenses.
I will review General Standards/Core Applicator Topics:
- The Law and Pesticide Application
- Principles of Pesticides and Pest Control
- Understanding Pesticide Labeling
- Pesticide Formulations
- Pesticides and the Environment
- Harmful Effects and Emergency Response
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Transportation, Storage and Security, and Disposal of Pesticide Wastes
- Pesticide Application Procedures
If you wish to take the pesticide exam immediately after the exam prep training, please bring an exam voucher with you. You can apply for the FDACS Exam voucher at https://aesecomm.fdacs.gov/Default.aspx. Select the appropriate Chapter for your license.
