Monthly reggae disco in North-East London. The night is named after sadly departed MC Earl Anthony Robinson, the voice behind classic deejay tunes such as "Drunken Master".Joining us on the decks will be special guests Riketté Genesis and Tara Mallen to spin lovers rock, romantic rocksteady, soulful ska and heartbreak in the echo chamber!
Riketté Genesis, a prominent jazz singer and sound engineer, is making waves in the world of selecting. Hailing from Brixton and deeply influenced by her Rastafarian heritage and mother’s vinyl collection, her reggae style is a captivating blend of 70s classics, rocksteady rhythms, and heavy roots. Her dynamic performances have graced platforms such as Moko, Balamii, Jumbi, The Fox & Firkin, Voices Radio, and G-Shock Radio. Riketté’s roots-inspired selections reflect her rich musical journey, further highlighted on her monthly show on Voices Radio.
Tara Mallen aka Tea, started out playing tunes at Lion Vibes selectors showcase, also hosts regular shows on Voices Radio and G-Shock Radio, and has spun tunes alongside Riketté at the monthly Vinyl Sisters night at the Ritzy in Brixton, as well as Melomaniacs, El Baile, and other eclectic parties. Tea's reggae style is old school ska, rocksteady and classics.
Come and listen to some of the greatest music ever made in a beautiful old school social club.
