About this Event
The Buckley Institute is pleased to welcome renowned author, journalist, and commentator Ben Shapiro to speak at Yale on October 7, 2024, at 7pm, for a conversation in Sheffield-Sterling-Strathcona Hall 114 (1 Prospect St, New Haven, CT).
Doors will open for General Admission at 6:30pm. Tickets are non-transferable and will be required for entry. Please note that a ticket does not guarantee entry.
One year after the October 7 terror attacks in Israel, Shapiro will return to Yale for the first time since 2016 for a conversation titled, “How October 7 Broke America’s College Campuses.” The October 7 terror attacks by the terrorist group Hamas cost 1,200 lives and resulted in 240 being held hostage—including more than a dozen Americans. Nearly 100 people, including 7 Americans, remain in Hamas captivity one year later.
During the discussion, Shapiro will reflect on the campus reaction to both the terror attacks and the ensuing war between Israel and Hamas. He will share his insights on the campus dynamics that have undermined public confidence in America’s institutions of higher education.
Free and open to the public, this event is made possible by Young America's Foundation's Irving Brown Lecture Series.
Please note that no bags, liquids, or containers will be permitted in the venue. Please do not bring any bags, backpacks, purses, or similar items. There will be a security checkpoint at entry.
Ben Shapiro is the co-founder and Editor Emeritus of The Daily Wire and host of “The Ben Shapiro Show,” the largest and fastest-growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation. In addition, he also hosts “Debunked,” “Ben Shapiro’s Book Club," “The Search,” and “The Sunday Special.”
