About this Event
We are excited to invite you to our 58th Annual Meeting, which will begin in Birmingham on August 14th and conclude in Epes, Alabama on August 16th!
This event celebrates nearly six decades of work, memories, and progress in the development of the Federation as the foremost organization serving Black farmers, landowners, cooperatives, and low-income communities in the rural South.

Please note that each person should register separately to ensure that each participant receives a pre-printed nametag and is properly accounted for in terms of meal planning, travel, etc.

Scholarships
Event Ticket, Travel, Hotel, and Certain Meal Scholarships are available to Black farmers, landowners, and cooperatives to assist them with attending the FSC/LAF Annual Meeting. These scholarships are made possible through the generous support of our sponsors and supporters.
Scholarship Deadline: All scholarship requests must be submitted by Midnight EST, Thursday, August 1, 2025.

Scholarships are awarded based on event funding received and need in the following areas:
Group Travel with Fees Reduced or Waived
Typically, group travel occurs when a state (AL, FL, GA, LA, NC, SC, TX) has 10+ members who would like to attend. Travelers are responsible for covering any incidentals they incur during the Federation event, such as parking and food ordered during the hotel stay. Each traveler must register separately to ensure they have a spot.
Meals are served during the programmed event.
The participant is responsible for all food not served by the Federation during the event, such as personal meals and food purchases.
Thursday, Friday Event Hotel Accommodations - Reduced or comp'd
Non-member, hotel scholarships are limited.
Scholarship criteria:
- Must be a Black farmer, landowner, or member of a cooperatives.
- Must farm, own land, or be a member of a cooperative in a Southern State.
- Each attendee/participant must fill out an individual scholarship request by August 1, 2025
Scholarship Information
- Application Deadline: August 1, 2025
- Award Notification: All scholarship recipients will be notified by August 8, 2025.
- Availability: Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds are exhausted.
- Membership: Annual individual membership dues are $50. Members have access to hotel and travel stipend requests 7-10 business days in advance of non-members.
- Priority: Scholarships and hotel/travel stipends are prioritized for active, dues-paying members. A limited number of scholarships may be available for non-members after all member requests have been fulfilled, depending on available funds. We make every effort to fulfill each request.
- Hotel Accommodations: Scholarship recipients will be paired with a roommate to maximize participation, networking opportunities, and access to technical assistance.
- Travel Accommodations: Shared or group travel by bus in certain states.
