Gene Parise, also known by his solo moniker Kozmik Riffs; is a Southern RI based lifelong musician/guitarist/singer-songwriter who's leant his talents performing with various bands. He performs solo as well, sharing his original songs and also covering some of the truly revered great folk/rock/country and Americana songwriters, but always in his own unique style. Gene was the guitarist with the Easy Goin’ band for nearly two decades after which he helped found the classic rock band Retroactive till 2003-2008. He then co-founded the beloved band Wheelhouse which performed for nearly a decade starting 2009, featuring some of the finest musicians in the region. In recent years, he has been a guitarist/vocal member of two trios, Men With Guitars. and Kozmik Katz. In 2010, Gene co-founded and hosted a weekly Open Mic at Perks & Corks while he also managed the live entertainment, booking live acts 6 nights a week till 2020. In essence, Gene Parise along with his years of experience brings emotion and integrity to every song he performs. His playing and singing are soulful and heartfelt. He only performs the songs he "believes in”; his own original songs and respected quality , each of them entertaining, each of them honest.
