About this Event

SPPGA Expert-in-Residence Diamond Isinger will lead a discussion on persistent gender disparities in policy influence and decision-making across a global scale. Despite decades of progress, women’s voices—particularly those of women from marginalized communities—remain underrepresented in the institutions and processes that shape domestic and international policy outcomes.

Diamond will engage with multiple invited guests as panelists to unpack and weigh in on how recent pullbacks in DEI funding and institutional commitments in Canada are increasingly shaped by political and cultural shifts originating in the United States. Participants will be invited to analyze the policy consequences of this retrenchment, including its impact on evidence-based decision-making, leadership pipelines, and the legitimacy of public institutions.
