Gel Plate Printing with Fall Leaves w/Jennifer Penick

Collect some leaves, flowers or bits of plants. We're here to celebrate the Fall with a session of gel plate botanical monoprinting. In this 2-hour workshop, instructor Jennifer Wilkin Penick will go over the basics of making textured and multicolored backgrounds, followed by a series of different techniques for printing your leaves and plants in creative and beautiful ways. You will leave the workshop with a stack of colorful, gorgeous monoprints.

Jennifer studied studio art as an undergraduate student and earned an MA in (Italian) Art History. Her artwork has been exhibited in Rome, Italy; Portland, Oregon; Arlington, Virginia; and Washington, DC. In addition to being a practicing artist, she teaches at the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington and has been a Visual-Artist-in-Residence with MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's Arts & Humanities Program since 2018.
