Class Description: Come join in the fun of monoprinting using a gel plate. This intriguing process is the perfect choice for beginners as well as anyone who simply wants to try out the printing process. In this class you'll learn the basics; how to get started, information on supplies and techniques such as how to make colorful backgrounds, textured pages, multiple layering, mark making and leaf prints. This incredibly versatile art form is economical as well as portable and works with an array of different paints and markers. Before you know it you'll be pulling prints and intuitively combining them to create more complex compositions. It's easy, fun and totally addicting! For this class you will need:
Gelli Plate (whatever size you choose)
Brayer 2-4 inches (printmaking roller)
Acrylic paints (at least 3 colors of your choice)
Baby Wipes (any kind)
