Gottuvadhyam: Gottuvadhyam, today it is played mainly in South India, though its origins can be traced back to Bharata's Natya Shastra (200 BCE-200 CE), where it is mentioned as a seven string fretless instrument. Gottuvadhyam is a 20 or 21-string fretless lute-style veena in Carnatic music.

Malini Viswanath is a artistic director and founder of Raag'N'Rhythm, a Carnatic classical Ensemble that aims to promote and propagate our ancient art and hold on to it as a value.

She made experiments by having a fusion of Carnatic Music with other forms of music like Arab music, South East Asian music, and Western music.

Gottuvadhyam by: Jayan Nair

Jayan Nair’s, love for music began from a very early age. After his training in Carnatic Music, he came to Ahmedabad and learned one of the rarest string instruments, the Chitra Veena at Darpana Academy. Till recently he was an instructor at Darpana, and is now working independently as a singer-musician.
