GDODF 2026: HHVJ present a History of Glasgow's Entertainment Scene
About this Event
Hamilton Hay Van Jonker is an architectural practice founded in 2024 that primarily works on historic and listed buildings.
Join us at our studio, the former Adelphi Public Terrace School (1894), to explore the theme of “Glasgow Goes Out” through the lens of two of our projects.
Drawing on our research into two of Glasgow’s most well-loved performance venues — the Britannia Panopticon Music Hall and the King’s Theatre — our talk will explain how the city’s entertainment scene developed from the early days of the Glasgow Fair to the varied cultural offer we see today.
