About this Event
GDME - Fundamentals of Gas Detection
This popular single day course is designed to give the attendee an introduction into the hazardous world of gas detection. This class is a great option for anyone new to working around hazardous atmospheres, looking to understand how gas sensors work, or wanting to sharpen their skills.
Class instruction includes: Defining terminology routinely used in the industry; common gas hazards and the sensor technology used to detect those threats, as well as the applications where they may be found and determining which products are right for the job.
A written exam will be administered upon completion of the course to evaluate competency.
- Consider also taking GDME-How to Use & Maintain Gas Detectors for some hands on instrument exposure. It will take place the 2 days following this course. This course is not a prerequisite for How to Use and Maintain, but it is an excellent compliment.
