Saturday, April 29 The Georgia College & State University (GCSU) Department of Music, in partnership with Allied Arts in Milledgeville, invites the community to Front Campus from 2:30 to 8:30 p.m. for the 34th Annual JazzFest. The evening showcases live performances from local middle and high school bands, the Georgia College Alumni Band and a performance by the Georgia College Jazz Band, featuring renowned saxophonist Mace Hibbard. JazzFest offers local band students an opportunity to shine in a 30-minute performance and receive invaluable feedback from guest clinicians on improving their musicianship. This event also provides jazz lovers and community members a relaxing evening of local and professional entertainment. Bring a picnic blanket and lawn chair. Food and drinks will be on sale, provided by GCSU student organizations Phi Mu Alpha and Sigma Alpha Iota.
