GCF2026 Event 2 / Lullaby—Sonic Cradle

Enter a space of rest, reflection and shared memory. 𝘓𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘺—𝘚𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤 𝘊𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘭𝘦 is an immersive installation-performance by Supriya Nagarajan and Duncan Chapman exploring the universal tradition of lullabies as expressions of love, memory, care and cultural identity.
At the heart of the project are Lullaby Booths: welcoming spaces where you are invited to share bedtime songs, stories and memories from your own family and cultural traditions. Blending these elements with South Indian classical (Carnatic) vocals, environmental sound and layered electronic textures, 𝘓𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘺—𝘚𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤 𝘊𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘭𝘦 unfolds as a rich sonic tapestry shaped by the cathedral and the lives lived nearby. Gentle, immersive and deeply human, it invites you to slow down, listen closely and discover the connections that emerge through the simple yet powerful acts of sharing and listening.
