Gaybourhood East – Family Pride - Slay The Runway!

Part-funded by the Waltham Forest Pride Collective as part of the Waltham Forest Pride Programme
What to expect: An afternoon of colour, creativity and celebration as families take part in dress-up and costume making, pose/vogue/catwalk moments, disco, dancing, face paint, and joyful sing-along. Whether you’re taking part or cheering from the sidelines, it’s the perfect opportunity for the House of Gaybourhood East to come together and enjoy a vibrant, inclusive community pride gathering for queer families with kids of all ages. Supporter and Costume Lecturer Rachel and her students from Guildhall School of Music and Drama will bring materials and help make fierce family costumes (from 1:30pm). Please also bring along rainbow/sparkly fancy dress or costume materials if you like.
Venue: Walthamstow Trades Hall
Entrance: Free (£ contributions welcome)
Timings: 1-4pm, with Scarlet starting at 2pm sharp
Food/drink: Paid bar for the adults, you’re welcome to bring your own food.

Gaybourhood East is a friendly social space for queer families with kids of all ages, run by volunteer queer parents. The Trades Hall is a queer friendly community space, just 10 mins from Walthamstow Central. Great music, cheap bar, pool table, and loads of space to run around. Everyone welcome - including dogs!
