Gavin Eckler Quartet Live at Marigny Opera House
About this Event
The Gavin Eckler Quartet comes to Marigny Opera House on Thursday, October 15, 2026, for an evening of live jazz.
Originally from California, drummer Gavin Eckler began playing at age three. A formative trip to New Orleans sparked a love for the city’s culture and music, leading him to make it his home in 2022.
Since then, Gavin has studied with Herlin Riley, Shannon Powell, Pedro Segundo and Jamison Ross, and shared the stage with artists including Nicholas Payton, Dayna Stephens, Gabrielle Cavassa and Leroy Jones. A recipient of Loyola University’s Director’s Award full-ride scholarship, he brings diverse influences and a deep appreciation for New Orleans’ musical legacy to his work.
